Two Springs Subway restaurants robbed Monday night

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police say two sub shops were robbed in less than one hour Monday night (7/28/14).

The first robbery happened at the Subway in the 100 block of E. Fillmore St. It was reported to police at 8:08 p.m.

Investigators say a man walked in, flashed a gun and demanded money. The victims didn't get a good look at the robber because he was wearing a mask.

The second robbery was reported at 8:46 p.m. at the Subway in the 3400 block of N. Academy Blvd.

As in the first robbery, police say the bad guy flashed a gun and demanded cash.

The robber is described as being in his mid 20s. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark shoes.
