A bomb threat was made against Vista Ridge High School on Wednesday. Police officers searched the school and found nothing to substantiate the threat.

District 49 officials tell KRDO NewsChannel 13 that the anonymous threat came in around 3 p.m. through Safe 2 Tell.

Classes were already done for the day at Vista Ridge, but about 200 students were at the school for extracurricular activities.

Colorado Springs police officers searched the school with bomb-sniffing dogs.

The dogs also checked the cars in the parking lot.  After cars in the parking lot were cleared, students who drove to school were allowed to leave.  Students without cars were moved to Skyview Middle School where parents could pick them up, school officials said.

Police finished checking the school around 5:30 p.m.  Officers did not find anything suspicious at the school.  KRDO NewsChannel 13 has a crew at the school and will bring you updates on and NewsChannel 13.
