BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. - Friday Breckenridge opened for the ski season and everyone seemed to be extremely excited to be a part of opening day.
However, there were far less people on the mountain compared to both opening days at Loveland and Arapahoe Basin.
That could, in part, be due to the fact that Keystone and Copper also opened Friday, giving skiers and borders plenty of space. It also allowed for shorter lift lines, making it easier for people enjoying the ski day to hop right back in line after doing a run.
Breckenridge is opening new terrain this season, along with a new restaurant, rock climbing wall and observatory.
