Colorado's governor and agriculture commissioner are sitting down with some Colorado chefs Wednesday for a gourmet lunch made of all Colorado products.
Gov. John Hickenlooper and Secretary John Salazar will be dining on roasted beets, Colorado lamb and a dessert of smoked peaches.
The lunch also includes tomatoes and rhubarb from Boulder; grapes from Burlington; roasted green chiles from Colorado Springs; onions and scallions from Fort Collins; and lettuce and greens from Frisco and Vail.
The luncheon at the History Colorado Center isn't open to the public. The officials have invited farmers, chefs and journalists to highlight homegrown produce.
Agriculture is a $40 billion industry in Colorado.
