COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

The Colorado Springs City Council is holding a town hall meeting to help them decide whether the city should allow retail pot stores to open in the city.

The town hall forum on Thursday is expected to be standing-room-only.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette, the council is trying to determine how to deal with a Colorado amendment approved by voters which legalized marijuana possession and sales.

The law allows possession of up to an ounce of marijuana for adults 21 and older. It also calls for regulating retail sales of marijuana, but it gives local governments the choice to opt out of such sales.
