UPDATE: Colorado Springs police say assault, abduction victim found safe

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - UPDATE: Colorado Springs police said at about 3:50 p.m. that Tamara Shay Romero was the victim in the incident and was found safe. It's not clear if Michael Ryan Annis is still being sought.


Colorado Springs police say they're looking for two persons of interest connected to an assault and possible abduction that happened Friday morning.

Police say they're looking for 34-year-old Michael Ryan Annis and 27-year-old Tamara Shay Romero, who may be in a 2017 grey Honda Accord sedan with the Colorado license plate MOH-878.

CSPD says the assault and possible abduction happened around 9 a.m. near Murray Boulevard and Platte Avenue. Police also said in a report that Annis and Romero were last contacted around 1 a.m. on West Cucharras Street.

Police didn't give any other information about the crime, and didn't give a description of the possible abduction victim.
