14-year-old boy missing from Colorado Springs found safe

COLORADO SPRINGS - 03/09/18 UPDATE-- Hedges has been found safe. 


Zackery Hedges, 14, is missing from Colorado Springs. 

He was last seen at Fox Meadow Middle School on Tuesday at around 4 p.m., and someone reported a sighting a little later that evening at Las Vegas and Nevada.

Zackery's mother spoke to KRDO and said he took off after being confronted over an alleged stolen laptop. A school principal went to look for him and found him at a gas station around 10 p.m. Tuesday, but Zackery ran again.

His mother says she hasn't slept since Zackery disappeared.

Hedges is described as being 5'7" tall and weighing 120 pounds. He was wearing a red and black winter coat, black polo with khakis, black shoes, and gold-rimmed glasses.
