2 schools placed on lockout following armed robbery at Colorado Springs 7-Eleven

COLORADO SPRINGS - Colorado Springs police are investigating an armed robbery that put two schools on lockout Tuesday afternoon. 

Monterey Elementary School and Carmel Middle School were on lockout shortly after 1 p.m.

It was confirmed that the lockout was lifted by 3:20 p.m.

Police responded to the 7-Eleven at 2350 Hancock Expressway in response to the robbery. 

No arrests have been made at this time. 

CSPD did say that it doesn't think there isn't a threat to the public.
