2 teens arrested for harassing COS businesses with fire extinguishers

COLORADO SPRINGS - The Colorado Springs Police Department arrested two teens on Sunday morning after they sprayed fire extinguishers inside several local businesses.

At just before 5 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance in the 4600 block of Rusina Road.

Apparently, Trevor Rather, 19, and a 17-year-old walked into a business, harassed employees, and discharged two large portable fire extinguishers.

While police were investigating that incident, the pair went to five other nearby businesses and did the same thing. They even sprayed two drive-through window employees in the face with the fire extinguishers.

The teens were arrested a short time later for multiple counts of harassment and theft.
