22-yr-old arrested for string of burglaries in NE Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS - A 22-year-old has been arrested for the string of burglaries that took place on the northeastern side of town over the weekend.

Tyler Houlditch, 22, is behind bars, facing multiple counts of 2nd Degree Burglary, 1st Degree Criminal Trespass, Possession of Schedule I Narcotics, Identity Theft, and Shoplifting charges.

Officers were called to the 2900 block of Virginia Avenue at around 7 a.m. on Saturday to investigate several burglary reports.

According to CSPD, homes, outbuildings, and vehicles had been broken into and robbed throughout the night.

A suspect description and the need to investigate a separate theft report not related to the group of burglaries along Virgina Avenue led officers to Houlditch.

Following his arrest, five criminal cases were closed and a majority of stolen property was returned to the owners.
