City Council candidates to discuss energy, water issues in Colorado Springs

Candidates for the Colorado Springs City Council are speaking at a public forum to discuss utilities issues facing members of the community. The meeting is scheduled to be held in the Summit Ballroom at the Antlers Hotel beginning at 4 p.m.

The forum is being held by the Green Cities Coalition. Jim Riggins and Sandy Vanderstoep are scheduled as co-moderators and will open the event by addressing the candidates with questions about their stance on local utilities.

 Following the questions from the moderators the audience will be allowed to address the candidates. Questions about any local utility, electrical power, natural gas or water are encouraged.

The free event is open to the public.
