Military Matters: COS bar goes above and beyond to show military support

COS bar goes above and beyond to show...

COLORADO SPRINGS - Supporting our military is a year-round commitment for businesses across the Front Range, and a local pub is taking it a step farther.

Rhinos Sports and Spirits on the east side of Colorado Springs is not only military owned, but its owners have a wall dedicated to all branches of the military; active and fallen.

They also honor firefighters and law enforcement.

Owner, Greg Roman is a 23-year veteran in military intelligence.

He says traveling and trying out local taverns is what inspired him to open this bar.

“Well, I think the military is a family, but the military also has a little bit of friendly competition between the services, so we encourage any service member to come in and display their patch. And right now, we still have some prime space left over,” said Roman.

Rhinos owners try to donate 10 percent of total revenue each year to military organizations like Wounded Warrior and the Peacekeepers Memorial.

Every Monday, they offer 20 percent off to military members and their families.
