Several men arrested for string of armed robberies in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. - Several men were arrested Tuesday night after a string of armed robberies that police believe could all be connected.

The first happened around 6:20pm in the 6300 block of Galway near Pulpit Rock and involved a cell phone taken from the victim.

The second took place about an hour later at the Meadows mobile home park near Astrozon and Powers, where a woman told officers her purse was stolen at gunpoint.

The third took place on Sandpiper near Murray, also on the southeast side of town.

The victim in that robbery gave police a description of the suspects and their vehicle, which was quickly spotted leaving the area and followed to the intersection of Overton and University.

The description of the vehicle, a silver Jeep SUV, was the same as the one in the earlier robbery on Galway.

The victim from at least one of the robberies positively identified two of the suspects as well as the vehicle.

It's unclear if all four men in the car will face criminal charges for the crime spree.
