COS Festival of Lights Parade: What you need to know

COLORADO SPRINGS - Preparations have begun for the 32nd Annual Festival of Lights Parade in downtown Colorado Springs. 

The parade is set to begin at 5:50 p.m. on Tejon Street. 

It is free for the entire family to enjoy. 

On street metered parking is available and will be free after 6 p.m.  Parking in the city garages is $3 per hour.  Handicapped parking is located on Bijou Street and Kiowa Street between Nevada and Cascade avenues.

Road closures for the parade:

  • 2 p.m. - Pikes Peak Avenue east and west of Tejon Street closes for set-up – Tejon Street will remain open until 4:30 p.m.
  • 3 p.m. - Staging area closes for set-up (Tejon Street from Cache la Poudre  to St. Vrain)
  • 4:30 p.m. - Disbanding area closes (Tejon Street from Colorado Avenue to Cimarron Street)
  • 4:30 p.m. - Hard closure of entire route along Tejon Street
