CSPD searching for armed, dangerous suspect

COLORADO SPRINGS - The Colorado Springs Police Department is searching for a man wanted for two separate crimes involving a firearm. 

Orlando Colangelo is wanted for his involvement in the November 2 assault that took place on Chapman Drive as well as the armed theft at the Southgate Sears on Dec. 14. 

In the Chapman incident, several weapons were used to assault a victim and Colangelo was seen running from the scene. 

Nearly a month later, Colangelo fired a handgun inside the Sears Roebucks department while trying to escape with stolen items. With the help of an accomplice, he also threatened the lives of some of the employees.

Police consider Colangelo to be armed and dangerous.
