Cyclist cited after running red light, causing accident in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A cyclist was hit by a vehicle after he ran a red light in Colorado Springs on Tuesday morning. 

The guy on the bike was apparently riding northbound on Nevada towards the interstate when he ran a red light. A woman also driving north started to get on the on ramp of northbound Interstate 25 when she clipped the back tire of the bicycle causing the man to wreck. 

The cyclist injured his leg and also had a few scrapes. He refused medical treatment.  

He was cited an $80 ticket.
