Door malfunction causes courthouse chaos in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS - There was some chaos at the El Paso County courthouse in Colorado Springs late Friday afternoon even though it was closed for the Veterans' Day holiday.

Apparently, one of the doors was not locked and a few people got inside.

The bigger concern for staff is that an alarm didn't sound, however, security was alerted. Luckily, they were able to clear the courthouse, there was no damage, and nothing was stolen.

Colorado Springs law enforcement is looking into what caused the door and alarm to malfunction.
