Employee at COS business arrested for pointing gun at co-workers

COLORADO SPRINGS - After a short foot chase on Tuesday morning, Colorado Springs police were able to arrest a man for threatening his co-workers with a gun. 

Michael Gentles was arrested at around 10 a.m. in the 800 block of South Tejon Street. 

According to the Colorado Springs police, Gentles, an employee at a business in the 800 block of South Wahsatch Avenue, pointed a handgun at other employees. Gentles then left before officers got there. 

Once police had left, Gentles returned to the business. The manager called 911 again. 

Gentles tried to drive away on Nevada Avenue. When he got stuck in traffic, Gentles ditched his vehicle near Nevada Avenue and Rio Grand Avenue and tried to make a run for it. 

Officers were able to chase him down on South Tejon Street and arrest him.
