Fatal crash in Colorado Springs causes brief power outage

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A fatal crash in Colorado Springs briefly spawned a power outage for nearly 2000 people.

The crash happened just after 10:00 p.m. Saturday. A car hit a utility pole near Glen Ave. and Mesa Rd. One man was killed. Police have not released his name. At this time, it's unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Crews quickly restored power for most people in the area.
