Fort Carson to host open house in recognition of Brain Injury Month

FORT CARSON, Colo. - The Fort Carson Warrior Recovery Center (WRC) and Defense Veterans Brain Injury Center will host an open house Friday afternoon in recognition of Brain Injury Month.

The open house begins at 1:30 p.m. at the WRC rehabilitation building on post, and is open to Fort Carson residents, employees and others who are interested in learning more about brain injuries.

Experts in the field will speak with attendees about various therapeutic activities, as well as current brain injury research efforts. Several stations will be set up to cover balance and dizziness exercises, visual-motor and cognitive reactionary skills, interactive metronome therapy, art therapy, and simulated neuro-feedback research.
