COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Families with household incomes of $54,000 or less can get their taxes done free at Pikes Peak Community College on Saturday.

The service will be provided by IRS-certified accounting students at PPCC. No appointment is necessary, according to the college.

The event begins at 8:30 a.m. on the Centennial Campus of PPCC, on the second-floor rotunda of the Aspen Building.

It is part of a program that was started by the Piton Foundation, a private organization established in 1976 by Denver oilman Sam Gary. The foundation is committed to improving the lives of Colorado's low-income children and their families.
