Lamborn pens letter urging EPA to drop lawsuit against Colorado Springs

WASHINGTON - Congressman Doug Lamborn has penned a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt urging them to drop the EPA's lawsuit against the City of Colorado Springs.

The suit, which was filed in November by the EPA and the State of Colorado, alleges that Colorado Springs violated portions of the Clean Water Act and the Colorado Water Quality Control Act by failing to properly manage its stormwater system.

In the letter, Lamborn argues moving forward with an expensive legal fight and the millions of dollars in fines that the city could face if it loses would only hamper the city's ability to address its stormwater issues.
