COLORADO SPRINGS - A Colorado Springs father was sentenced to life in prison for second-degree murder related to the killing of his 4-year-old son. The sentence also indicates that Ralph will serve without the possibility of parole.

Jeremy Ralph was sentenced today after being found guilty in August of 2017.

A jury in Colorado Springs has found Jeremy Ralph guilty of second-degree murder for killing his 4-year-old son.

The jury also found him guilty of first-degree murder of a person in a position of trust and child abuse.

This case stems from December 14, 2016, when police responded to reports of an unresponsive child at the Windtree Apartments near Union and Vickers in Colorado Springs.

The 4-year-old boy was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Autopsy reports say that the boy died from blunt force trauma.
