Local school districts come together after wind damage

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Students in Harrison District Two were able to get to school thanks to help from another district.

More than half of the district’s busses had extensive damage. Several windows were blown out, with glass littering the floor.

District 11 sent over five busses on Tuesday to help.

In a video posted to Vimeo, D2 Transportation Director David Hartzell says without the additional aid, the district may not have been able to get those students to school.

“Because of their assistance we were 100 percent operational,” said Hartzell.
