Police seize drugs, $5,000 and firearms in unoccupied car

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs police say they found drugs and other items in a car after a traffic stop.

Police attempted to stop the car a minor traffic infraction near Hancock Expressway and South Chelton Road. The driver refused to stop and officers did not pursue the car.

Minutes later, it was found nearby unoccupied.

Officers found approximately 2.5 lbs of suspected methamphetamine, $5,000, and three firearms. One of the guns had been reported stolen. They also found an AK-47 with a high capacity drum magazine.

Investigators are still looking for the driver
