Driver arrested for DUID after crash sends 3 people to hospital

COLORADO SPRINGS Colo. - The intersection of East Platte and Chelton reopened Thursday morning after a serious crash.

It happened Wednesday night.

Police say a silver Maserati was speeding when it crashed into a dark-colored Dodge pickup truck. The force of the impact caused the Dodge to roll over.

The driver, Seth B. Vanderiet, was arrested after he tried to get away. He is facing charges for DUID, vehicular assault, reckless driving and other charges.

Three people were taken to the hospital.

The intersection reopened early Thursday morning.
