COLORADO SPRINGS - The 16th Annual Rocky Mountain State games will begin Thursday in Colorado Springs. The games will take place over the last two weekends in July.
Nearly 8,000 athletes have already registered across 40+ sports. People of all ages and skill levels are able to compete, including those with disabilities and visual impairments.
"We are excited and honored to host the athletes participating in this year's State Games event," said Sports Corp Director of Operations and Marketing Aubrey McCoy. "This opening weekend features 24 sports at venues all over the city, and there is something for everyone to compete in or enjoy as a spectator. We wish everyone luck and a safe competition."
The group has already seen higher registration for powerlifting, weightlifting, baseball, basketball, pickleball and tennis.
