Busy northeast Springs intersection closed indefinitely after tanker rolls, spills fuel

Tanker oil spill

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado Springs Police Department says a semi truck has rolled at the intersection of Woodmen Road and Black Forest Road on the northeast side.

As of 8:40 p.m., All lanes are open at Woodmen and Black Forest.

Road closures lasted several hours because the truck reportedly leaked fuel.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

The Colorado Springs Traffic Management Center suggests taking Dublin or Stetson Hills as alternate routes.

Police say the semi rolled multiple times.

The driver was trapped and had to be cut out of the cab. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
