COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A Colorado Springs man found an uninvited guest on his back deck.
John Grewe tells KRDO NewsChannel 13 that he looked outside and saw a bear sniffing around his deck on December 15.
Grewe lives in a neighborhood at the foot of Cheyenne Mountain in southwest Colorado Springs.
Kyle Davidson with Colorado Parks and Wildlife tells KRDO NewsChannel 13 that it's not uncommon to see bears throughout the winter provided they have consistent access to food. He said the relatively mild fall may also explain why the bear is not in hibernation.
