Stabbing after traffic accident leads to four arrests

COLORADO SPRINGS - What started out as a stabbing investigation in Colorado Springs led to the arrest of three teens and one 26-year-old. 

On May 21, police were called to Memorial Hospital to talk to a man who was stabbed after a traffic accident. 

The crash happened in the parking lot of 1826 East Platte. An argument ensued, which led to the victim being stabbed in the back. 

The victim was treated and released. 

While investigating the stabbing, authorities developed probable cause for the arrest of 

  • Kerrie Belote Scott, 18  
  • Charlie Scott, 19
  • Kailan Marion, 18
  • David Winston, 26

Kerrie, Charlie, and Kailan have been charged with Aggravated Robbery, 2nd Degree Assault, and Felony Criminal Mischief.

David Winston was arrested for 1st Degree Criminal Trespass and Felony Criminal Mischief.
