COLORADO SPRINGS - Tens of thousands of dollars raised in Colorado Springs will go to the St. Baldrick's Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research.
About a hundred people raised money and had their heads shaved for a good cause on Sunday.
Back East Bar and Grill hosted the event with Elope Inc.
They hold the event every year to raise money and awareness.
Every two minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. One in five children will not survive.
“This is our 16th year, and we've raised over a million dollars just in our community for the St. Baldrick's Foundation and I’m really proud of that,” said Holly Dempsey, event co-organizer.
Coordinators expected to surpass their goal of $65,000.
