Threats prompt rumors of violence at Doherty HS

COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. - Two students accused of making threats at Doherty High School face possible expulsion.

According to D11 spokesperson Devra Ashby, the students were investigated by CSPD last week, and there was no evidence found to confirm any plan to carry out a violence attack.

She also said rumors of weapons being found on campus this week were false.

However, at least one parent told KRDO Newschannel 13 they plan to keep their student home on Wednesday just in case.

The two students who allegedly made the threats are not on campus this week, according to Ashby.

CSPD will ultimately decide whether those two students will face criminal charges in addition to disciplinary action from the district.
