Schools locked down after Colorado Springs pharmacy robbery

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs School District 11 says Sabin Middle School and Penrose Elementary were on a precautionary lockdown for a time Monday. 

The lockdowns, which have since been lifted, were put in place due to police activity in the neighborhood.

The Colorado Springs Police Department says officers are looking for a man who robbed A Village Pharmacy in the 3200 block of W. Carefree Circle. 

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s who stands 6-feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds. Police say he got away with an unknown amount of prescription medications.
