YOU helped Colorado Springs PD arrest package thieves

COLORADO SPRINGS - Thanks to tips made by the public, the Colorado Springs Police Department was able to arrest two people for stealing a package off a man's front porch in Colorado Springs.

The victim reached out to KRDO NewsChannel 13 on Thursday, sharing security footage of the thief walking up on his porch and swooping up the package. 

After posting to social media, the video was viewed over 12,000 times. 

Colorado Springs resident needs your help catching this package thief

On August 18, CSPD got a tip of a suspicious person and vehicle in the 1000 block of South Tejon Street. The caller said the vehicle looked like the one seen in our previous story. 

Officers responded to the area and ended up finding the vehicle in the 1800 block of South Nevada Avenue. 

The two people inside, Christopher Willard, 32, and Davion Washington, 28, were cited for misdemeanor theft and released.

The victim's belongings were returned to him.
