PARK COUNTY, Colo. - A Park County teenager who was reported missing after a fire tore through her family home on Dec. 1 was found dead inside the house.

That's according to a news release issued Thursday by the Park County Sheriff's Office, which says remains found inside the Bailey house were positively identified as 17-year-old Maggie Long.

Long was reported missing following the fire, and authorities had asked for the public's help in finding her.

PCSO says a multi-jurisdictional task force of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies is working the case as a homicide. The sheriff's office says "this task force will not rest until justice is obtained for Maggie and the Long family."

Investigators have said they believe the fire was intentionally set, though no suspect was identified.

Authorities are asking for any tips regarding activities on County Road 43 on Dec. 1. If you have information, call the investigative tip line at 303-239-4243.
