Colorado Springs DUI arrest made after foot chase

CSPD officers were able to arrest a man who attempted to run from an officer.

Jason Jacobs, 35, had been detained for DUI, and was taken to Memorial Hospital on Briargate Boulevard to have his blood alcohol content evaluated. While at the hospital, Jacobs attempted to run from officers.

The officer chased Jacobs, and twice attempted to use a stun gun, without effect, before catching up with Jacobs. When he refused to comply with orders, the officer used pepper spray to gain control over Jacobs, and arrested him.

Jacobs faces felony DUI and other criminal charges.
