Violent Crimes Unit investigating after woman found unresponsive in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Police say the violent crimes unit is investigating a suspicious circumstance in the 3400-block of Kirkwood Drive.

Just after 5 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of an adult female who was not breathing. When they arrived, victim was found to be non-responsive, and she was taken to a hospital.

Police say the victim is in critical and unstable condition.

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section have assumed responsibility for the investigation.

This continues to be an active criminal investigation. We will update this story when we have new information.
