COS man robbed after bringing online date home

COLORADO SPRINGS - A Colorado Springs man fell victim to an online dating scam on Friday.

At around noon, he brought home a girl he met online. A short time later, two guys showed up to his home in the 1400 block of Tappan Circle, forced their way in and held him at gunpoint with a revolver handgun.

The pair took his wallet, jewelry, and gaming stations.

The victim's car was also taken, which police believe may have been done by a third suspect.

The two main robbers left the victim's home in a silver/gray Volkswagen.

Anyone who has information on this crime is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department at 444-3140.
