$10,000 reward offered in Springs gun store robbery

$10K reward for info on Springs Armory robbery

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a $10,000 reward after 22 guns were stolen from a Colorado Springs store.

The reward money is available to anyone who provides information leading to arrests and convictions.

The robbery happened at the Springs Armory in the 2400 block of Waynoka Road just after 2 a.m. on April 18, 2017.

Police say that in less than five minutes, four or five masked robbers ransacked the store, stole the guns, and sped away in a Dodge Neon or similar vehicle.

“These firearms represent a major threat to our community,” said ATF Special Agent in Charge Debora Livingston. “They will not be used in hunting; they will not be displayed as trophies; these guns are destined for crime. We appeal to anyone who knows the identity of these suspects or the whereabouts of the firearms to contact us before innocent people are hurt.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-ATF-GUNS (283-4867), 719-390-5555, or 719-634-STOP (7867).
