Former Fountain Valley employee accused of smoke bomb appears in court

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. - A former staff member at Fountain Valley School made his first appearance in an El Paso County courtroom on Thursday morning.

Bryan Bolding is accused of helping set off a homemade smoke bomb at the Fountain Valley private boarding school earlier this month.

The judge also increased his bond to $50,000 as requested by the DA’s Office, saying he is a threat to the community.

He also possessed several guns while living on campus, which could add to his charges.
Bolding's attorney declined to comment on the case.
