Police investigate two early morning robberies at convenience stores

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs police are investigating two armed robberies that may be connected.

The first robbery was reported at 3:17 Wednesday morning at a convenience store located in the 2300 block of Hancock Expressway. Witnesses told police that four men entered the store and demanded cash. One of them was armed with a knife.

Each of the men were either wearing masks or covering their faces, according to police. 

No one was hurt during the incident and no arrests have been made, police said.

The second robbery was reported around 3:50 a.m. at a convenience store in the 6400 block of Source Center Point.

Multiple men entered the business carrying weapons and demanded cash, cigarettes and liquor. Witnesses told investigators that each of the men were wearing masks. They left the scene on foot.

No one was hurt and no arrests have been made. 

The men involved in both robberies appear to be the same, police said.
