EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. - Court documents obtained by KRDO NewsChannel 13 reveal 19-year-old double homicide suspect, Gustavo Marquez, has a checkered past.
It was in February 2017, Marquez was charged for kidnapping, assault, and child abuse – charges eerily similar to what he faces in connection to the deaths of Natalie Partida and Derek Greer.
KRDO NewsChannel 13 has confirmed Marquez was a student of Mitchell High School, and later Ridgeview Charter School, which is run by the Division of Youth Corrections.
Marquez proudly displays his affiliation with the Surenos gang, along with himself displaying gang hand signals in various pictures on Facebook.
Perhaps the most chilling: Marquez was Facebook friends with Natalie Partida, one of the teen murder victims Marquez is accused of killing.
While Marquez lists Mexico City as his hometown, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office says he is a legal U.S. citizen.
