End of school day delayed by police activity near Carmel Middle School

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - It was an extra long school day for some students at Carmel Middle School Wednesday.

They were stuck at school because of police activity on nearby Capulin Drive.

Harrison School District 2 says buses were put on hold as a precaution. Parents were allowed to pick up their kids from the school.

A Colorado Springs Police spokeswoman says officers were searching for a fugitive.

Officers at the scene tell KRDO NewsChannel 13's Carl Winder that one person was arrested.
