Police investigate stabbing

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs police are investigating a stabbing at an apartment on the 2600 block of East Yampa Street.

Police said the victim wwas stabbed around 4:50 a.m. Sunday morning. He was transported to the hospital and officials said he is expected to survive.

Investigators did not release much information on what lead up to the stabbing. Officials said they did not have a good description of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to call police at 444-7000.

Officials said the suspect hispanic man, about 30-years-old, 5'9". 190 -200 pounds. He was last seen leaving the area on foot wearing a green and white short sleeve shirt with a possible checkered pattern on it and blue jeans.
