Another convenience store robbed in Colorado Springs

Holdup Thursday morning on Austin Bluffs Parkway

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs police are searching for two men in connection with an early-morning armed robbery.

According to information obtained by KRDO NewsChannel 13, the robbery was reported just before 1 a.m. Thursday at a 7-Eleven store in the 4600 block of Austin Bluffs Parkway, near Doherty High School in east Colorado Springs.

Police say the robbers ran away before officers arrived.  No one was hurt.

There have been several armed holdups at area convenience or liquor stores in the last few weeks, including one on Feb.15 in which the owner of Empire Wine and Liquor on North Academy Boulevard was shot to death.
