Police Warn About Camp Counselor

Police Warn About Camp Counselor

ALAMOSA, Colo. - Police are urging parents to talk to their kids if they went to a church camp in southern Colorado.

A summer camp counselor at Beaver Creek Youth Camp in South Fork was arrested for sexually exploiting a child.

According to the Pueblo Police Department, 24-year-old Ian Walker of Alamosa sent and received inappropriate pictures to a Pueblo minor. So far, one child has come forward but police caution there could be more.

"You might notice that the child's uncomfortable about talking about it. Kind of gives you a hint that something might be wrong or possible that he had contact with their child," said Sgt. Eric Gonzales of the Pueblo Police Department.

Walker was booked into the Alamosa County Jail but has been released on bond. Investigators aren't finished questioning Walker. He could face additional charges.
