Two wanted fugitives arrested at Pueblo Co. gas station

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. - Pueblo County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a wanted couple at a gas station in Colorado City on Tuesday afternoon.

At around 2 p.m., the Sheriff's Office was notified that parole officers with the Colorado Department of Corrections were following a vehicle with possible wanted fugitives inside.

Colorado State Patrol stepped in to help the officers with a traffic stop, however, the driver refused to pull over. Law enforcement followed the vehicle for about six more miles southbound I-25 before ending the pursuit.

A short time later, the Sheriff's Office got a tip that a smoking vehicle with blown tires pulled into the Fast Break Liquor in Colorado City. Witnesses at the liquor store told investigators that they saw a woman and a man get out of the vehicle and run to a nearby hotel.

As deputies searched for the couple, a Reverse 911 was issued to those living in the area.

At 4:10 p.m., a citizen told deputies that he had given a man and a woman a ride to the nearby Diamond Shamrock. Authorities went to the gas station and arrested Alexis Lopez, 23, and Andrew Sedillo, 30. A mugshot of Sedillo has not been released.

Lopez was wanted by Department of Corrections on felony escape warrant, and Sedillo had an outstanding warrant from California.

Deputies found drugs and a firearm inside the vehicle at Fast Break.
