PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. - The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the tragic scene in Pueblo West on Monday was the result of a murder-suicide. 

Jennifer Hamula, 42, and Stephie Hamula, 10 were found dead at a home on Mescal Drive. Jennifer died from a single gunshot wound while Stephie had multiple gunshot wounds. 

"Overwhelming evidence indicates the mother and daughter were the only two individuals in the home at the time of the shooting," said Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk M. Taylor.

A family member had gone to the home to check on the occupants and found one of the deceased dogs in the home. The family member left the and called the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff's deputies found the two bodies alongside two dead dogs in the home.

The dogs also died as a result of gunshots.
