PUEBLO, Colo. - A security guard was stabbed in the leg after confronting a man who the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says threw rocks at cars and yelled at people outside of a marijuana shop.
Police and deputies were called to the Strawberry Fields in the 2200 block of N. I-25 around 8 p.m. Tuesday to investigate the stabbing.
The sheriff's office says that Chase Prochaska stabbed the guard during a struggle after the guard confronted him for yelling at customers outside of the shop and throwing rocks at passing cars on the adjacent frontage road. Three vehicles were hit.
Prochaska, whose last known address was in Lake Jackson, Texas, was arrested and faces charges of second-degree assault, menacing with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief.
The guard and Prochaska both suffered minor injuries during the scuffle. No drivers were hurt, but the damage to their vehicles is estimated at $3,700.
