Colorado Springs intersection reopens after Thursday morning shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The intersection of Academy Boulevard and Half Turn Road in north central Colorado Springs has reopened after being closed because of a shooting Thursday morning.

It happened around 3:00 a.m., police said.

Police said the incident began as a rolling fight between people in two vehicles. The driver of one vehicle fired shots into the other vehicle, hitting a passenger and showering that driver with glass.  The targeted vehicle then crashed into a sign.

Also injured was a resident at a nearby apartment complex, who was hit by a bullet that went through a wall.

Police said the three victims received only minor injuries.

Officers are still looking for the second vehicle.
